Bessie Mae McElroy, 85, born on June 15, 1932, in Idabel, Oklahoma, passed away December 8, 2017. She resided in Los Angeles, California at the time of her passing. Bessie was raised in DeQueen, Arkansas where she attended West Scott Elementary and graduated from Sevier County High School in 1950. After high school, Bessie met and married the love of her life, Sam McElroy. Bessie and Sam moved to California where they made a happy home and life together for 53 years. Bessie was passionately committed to her faith and her family. She loved all in great measure with the love of Christ. It was her joy to comfort and receive everyone with a welcoming spirit. We thank God for Bessie's life and how she blessed our lives.
A memorial and celebration of life service will be observed at Forest Lawn, Long Beach, California.
