Bertha Bosquez, born on August 7, 1934, in San Marcos, Jalisco, Mexico, entered eternal life on December 26, 2025. A devoted Catholic, Bertha's life was a testament to her strong faith and unwavering love for her family.
For 22 years, Bertha dedicated herself to the Elsinore High School Kitchen, where her warm presence and nurturing spirit left a lasting impression. She was affectionately known as "La Leona," a nickname that captures not only her fierce love for her family but also her vibrant personality.
Christmas was dear to Bertha's heart. Each year, she would joyfully embrace the season, making tamales and champurrado on Christmas Eve. It was during these cherished moments that her home was filled with laughter and love, especially from her grandchildren who were always delighted to gather around her table.
Bertha enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, crocheting, and always tried her luck in lotto scratcher tickets.
She will be profoundly missed by her loving family, including her beloved husband, Jesus; her children Armando, Irene, Paul, Norma, Jesse, Arturo, and Leticia; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who carry forward her legacy of love and strength.
Bertha reunites in spirit with her beloved sons, Francisco and George, who precede her in death. As we gather to honor her memory, we hold tightly to the lessons she imparted and the unconditional love she bestowed upon us all.
Funeral services will be held in celebration of Bertha's life at the Church of our Heritage at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills on January 27, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, followed by an additional service at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Wildomar on January 28, 2026, commencing at 10:00 AM.
Bertha Bosquez’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her warmth and kindness.
