Bernardo King Phua, Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on August 12, 2024 at the Kaiser Permanente Fontana. Born on November 2, 1970, in Clark Air Force Base, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines, Bernardo embarked on a journey that would lead him to touch the lives of countless individuals through his kindness and unwavering support.

His 34-year career with United Parcel Service (UPS) was marked by dedication and an impressive series of achievements. With roles ranging from Ramp Supervisor, to IT support in the Technology Support Group (TSG) and Web Developer in the Techology Support Center (TSC), to his final position as an Industrial Engineering Supervisor for the Inland Empire region, Bernardo's contributions were invaluable. He was known for his willingness to help others, offering guidance not only in work-related endeavors but also in navigating life's many paths. His colleagues revered him as a mentor and role model, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration.

Education was also a significant part of Bernardo's life. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems from Cal Poly Pomona and later obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. This pursuit of knowledge complemented his professional journey and his character, as he always strove to better himself and help those around him.

Outside of work, Bernardo's passions shone brightly. Music held a special place in his heart; he played trombone in his high school marching band and cherished attending local DCI and Band Review shows. His love for football flourished during his high school years as he played nose guard on the varsity team and earned the title of Defensive Player of the Week. He remained a loyal fan of the Tennessee Titans, reveling in the thrill of the game.

In addition to these hobbies, Bernardo enjoyed playing video games and had a budding interest in photography, capturing moments that mattered most. However, his proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly his two daughters, Breanna & Brooklynne. He was their unwavering supporter, never missing a soccer game or a color guard performance, nurturing their talents and cheering them on with every step they took.

Bernardo will be deeply missed not only by his family but also by the many lives he touched during his time. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Bernadette, his proud daughters, Breanna & Brooklynne, his mother Purificacion, and his siblings, Mike & Angie. He is preceded in death by his father, Bernardo, Sr.
