Bernardo “Ding” Musni was born on August 11, 1944, in Lubao, Pampanga, Philippines, the youngest of four children. He grew up surrounded by the love and traditions of his family, which shaped the kind, generous man he would become. Ding studied accounting at the University of the East. He subsequently met the love of his life, Corazon Galicia, in Manila. The two married on June 29, 1974, and a year later, they immigrated to Los Angeles, California, to begin a new chapter in their lives together.
In Los Angeles, Ding and Cora created a loving home, welcoming their two children, Kristina and Kristofer. The family quickly became an integral part of their community at St. Bernard’s School and Parish, as well as in their Mt. Washington neighborhood. Ding’s home was a place where laughter, love, and faith flourished. The family celebrated many holidays and birthdays there, often gathering in prayer. Ding was deeply devoted to his faith, praying the Rosary daily and attending Mass regularly. His unwavering belief in God guided him throughout his life.
Ding’s professional life as an accountant in Los Angeles allowed him to form many lasting friendships. After a successful career spanning 45 years, he retired in 2016, happy to spend more time with his family and his beloved community.
A lifelong lover of books, Ding instilled his passion for reading in both Kristina and Kristofer. In his later years, Ding developed a love for movies, and after retiring, he spent many peaceful hours watching his favorite films. He could often be found in his favorite chair, at the head of the dining table, entertained by a movie on his iPad.
After the passing of his beloved wife Cora in 2020, Ding found new joy in his role as "Lolo" to his cherished grandchildren, Alexander (Xanie) and Adrienne. His love for them added a new layer of happiness to his life, and they brought him much comfort in his later years.
Ding is survived by his daughter, Kristina, and son, Kristofer (Rita), as well as his grandchildren, Xanie and Adrienne. He is deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ding lived his life with grace, humility, and an enduring faith in God. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
