Bernard Kurtz, age 91, of Palm Desert, California, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on August 9, 2017 in Indio, California. He was born June 24, 1926 in Buffalo, New York. He married Edith Berman on October 26, 1947 in Buffalo, New York. He served as a Marine in the Pacific during WWII and saw combat in several island campaigns. He is survived by his wife, Edith, by his sister, Beverly Nickbarg, by his brother, Melvin Kurtz, son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Beverly Kurtz, and his daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Joe Weidinger, grandson, Brandon Kurtz and his wife, Dania, by his grand-daughter, Blair Kurtz, by his grandson Andrew Weidinger and his wife, Tra, and their son, Liam, and by his grandson, Kevin Weidinger. Service was held on August 13, 2017 in Cathedral City, California.
