Bernard Ray Hawkins, 85, of Menifee, California, passed away on February 10, 2026. Ray was born on August 5, 1940, in Omaha, Nebraska. He later made his home throughout Southern California before eventually settling in Menifee.
Ray shared 58 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jackie Hawkins, who preceded him in passing in 2018.
Ray’s greatest pride was his family. Ray was deeply devoted to those he loved and generously gave his time serving in numerous leadership roles across youth sports, music programs, and scouting organizations. He was mostly a quiet man of few words until you truly knew him. Those closest to him understood the depth of his character and his steady presence. Ray was a man who led by example. He believed actions mattered more than speeches, and he lived that belief every day. He was widely known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet determination.
Ray dedicated over 40 years to the aerospace industry as a Master Scheduler, where he was respected for his precision, steady leadership, and unwavering work ethic.
He is survived by his children: Jeff and his wife Julie, Kenny, Scott and his wife Jill, Tim and his husband Joseph, and Brad and his partner Melissa.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Amy, Daniel, Kevin, Mike, Kelly, Sam, Brennan, Maddie, and Sean.
His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Landon, Rylan, Parker, Haley, Layla, Jaxson, Bryce, Bradley, James, and Samuel.
