Benny Manzella, a dedicated Social Worker who served his community for over 25 years, has passed away at his residence in Placentia, CA. Born in Cinisi, Italy on September 5, 1972, Benny's life was marked by a deep love for his family, a passion for travel, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Throughout his career, Benny touched the hearts of many. His kind and welcoming personality, coupled with a great sense of humor, made him not only a professional, but also a friend to those whom he helped. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to improving the well-being of those around him.
Benny found joy in spending time with his beloved family. He cherished school breaks and summers as opportunities to create lasting memories with his wife Alejandra "Alex," and daughter Giuliana "Gigi". Benny's commitment to exploration led him to travel extensively, ensuring that each year brought new adventures and discoveries.
He loved nature and delighted in taking trips that involved hiking and animal-spotting while imparting knowledge to Gigi about the wonders of the natural world. His legacy of curiosity and appreciation for the beauty of our planet will live on through those he inspired.
An avid sports fan, Benny found pleasure in watching games from his favorite teams – the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia 76ers, and the LA Dodgers. He also enjoyed the thrill of playing poker in his leisure time.
Benny peacefully departed this world on February 29th, surrounded by his loving wife Alex, daughter Gigi, and stepdaughter Vanessa.
He is survived by his loving wife Alex, devoted daughter Gigi, caring mother Angela, supportive father Salvatore, brother Sal, his wife Vinzina and their two children - Sal and Sofia -; and his brother Joe. Additionally, he is survived by stepson Steven, his wife Daysy and their two children - Damian and Delilah -; and stepdaughter Vanessa - and her daughter - Alaia -.
Services to honor and remember Benny Manzella will be held on March 19th at Forest Lawn - Covina Hills - Church of our Heritage in Covina and on March 20th at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Placentia. These gatherings will provide an opportunity for all who knew him to celebrate a life well-lived and bid farewell to a remarkable individual whose light will continue to shine through the memories he created.
In honoring Benny's memory, let us carry forward the values of love, laughter, compassion, and adventure that he so wholeheartedly embodied. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
