On October 31, 2023, Barry Lee Cannata passed away at the age of 77. He was born on July 3, 1946 in Pasaic, New Jersey.
Barry worked as a frozen food manager at Alpha Beta and later Ralph’s grocery store chain for over 31 years. He enjoyed fishing, basketball and loved working with landscaping and selling seasonal firewood.
Barry was inducted into the U.S. Army on September 27, 1966 and was honorably discharged on August 4, 1968 as an Army Sargent E5. He was stationed in Viet Nam and received the National Defense Service Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, Viet Nam Campaign, Army Commendation Medal and C.I.B.
Barry was happily married to Donna Sue Cannata on September 11, 1982 until his passing. He is also survived by his brother Peter Cannata, nephews Brian Cannata, Aaron Cannata and Adam Cannata as well as niece Amy Cannata.
Barry will be remembered with loving kindness and generosity by his family and friends.
