Barbara Melissa Wilcoxon

Barbara Melissa Wilcoxon was born on March 13, 1929 in Sweetsburg, Quebec, Canada. She passed away peacefully at home December 24, 2014. She was a loving mother and grandma living in Long Beach for 52 years. Most of those years were in Belmont Shore where Barbara (Bunny) was well known as the kind woman working at the front counter of the Egyptian Pharmacy. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Wilcoxon in 1974, who died at the age of 11. She is survived by sons, David and Steven Wilcoxon; daughter Kristen (Dan) Kalynycz and stepsons Rick Wilcoxon and Bob (Nancy) Wilcoxon; grandchildren, Wyatt Wilcoxon, Danielle and Brett Kalynycz, Jennifer and Andy Wilcoxon, Krysten Corder; great grandchildren Evan Bothum. According to her wishes, no public service will be held. It was her desire that her friends and well-wishers may extend their condolences through a donation to the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in honor of Barbara M.
