Barbara Joyce Karle

Barbara Karle, 85, born on November 25, 1940, in Los Angeles, California, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was a resident of Buena Park, California at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.

Barbara possessed an adventurous spirit and was always eager to embrace new experiences. Her willingness to try almost anything was reflected in her desire to make the most of every opportunity creating countless cherished memories for her family and friends.

Her artistic side was beautifully expressed through her exquisite china painting. Each piece became a treasured keepsake, admired not only for its beauty but also for the love and dedication she poured into her work.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Theodore Karle; her parents, David and Lorraine Walters; and her brother, David Walters.

She is survived by her three daughters: Nadine Edwards (Reyes Tarin), Diane Botello (Ron), and Karen Galloway (Jack); her grandchildren: Justin (Stephanie), Katelyn (Pralhad), Alexandria, Bernadette, Haley, and Jackson; her great-grandchildren: Audrey and Ryan; her brother, Steve Walters and sister, Lolly Graydon; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and dear friends.

Barbara’s presence brought warmth and happiness to those around her. Her compassion, generosity, and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Though we grieve her passing, we honor her life and carry her memory forward in our hearts.
