Barbara Grisanti-Hernandez

Barbara Jean Grisanti-Hernandez, was born in Los Angeles, California on June 8, 1930.  She passed away, peacefully with her sons, Peter and Paul by her side, on April 13, 2024. A resident of Monterey Park for over 60 years, she spent the last 3 years in Whittier.  Mom was a person of deep faith and fought hard to keep her sons in Seventh-Day Adventist schools, even when dollars were tight.  Her one goal was to see her children in God's Kingdom.  

Mom raised the 3 of us and also worked for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Committee and for The Metropolitan Water District, where she retired.  

She loved anything which had to do with family, friends and her church. She enjoyed skiing, Disneyland, travel and her very close circle of friends.  We should also mention Macy's!  Mom is survived by her 3 sons, 3 grandchildren and 3 (1/2 ... Another on the way) great grandchildren.  

A funeral is scheduled for May 2, 2024 at 9:30am at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California.  Wee Kirk o'The Heather Chapel.  Mom is preceded by her husband Alfredo Rios Hernandez.
