Barbara J. (labelle) Cote

Bradford, MA: Barbara J. (LaBelle) Cote, 74, of the Bradford section of Haverhill, died on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.

Born in Haverhill, MA, daughter of Raoul and Alice (Lemire) LaBelle, she attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School. She worked as an Assembler at Raytheon for twenty-five years until her retirement.

She was a member of All Saints Parish, Haverhill and the former St. Joseph Parish and a member and Assistant Treasurer of the Raytheon Retirees Committee. An avid cat-lover and the family photographer, she enjoyed crocheting, especially afghans and sweaters, which have become family heirlooms. Mrs. Cote also enjoyed bowling on leagues at St. Joseph's Bowling Lanes and traveling to Foxwoods.

The wife of the late Gilbert Cote, who died in 1991, she is survived by five brothers and sisters-in-law, Raoul R. LaBelle of Rochester, NH, Richard R. and Cabrini LaBelle of Bradford, Raymond G. LaBelle of Plaistow, NH, Eugene P. and Josephine LaBelle of Haverhill and Joseph W. LaBelle of Auburndale, FL; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia R. Leavitt of Haverhill, R. Marie and Edward Brugnani of Plaistow, NH, Theresa B. and Joseph Leone of Methuen, MA and Betty A. and Frank Gueli of Haverhill, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and her two cats. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Lucille Howes, who died in 1959 and a brother, Albert LaBelle, who died in 1985.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 4 to 8 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Route 121A), Plaistow, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016, at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
