Barbara Ann Boutin

Barbara Ann Boutin, age 58 of Plaistow, formerly of Lawrence, MA passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 27, 2015.

She was born in Lawrence, MA the daughter of the late Robert N. and Dorothy G. (Black) Nelson. She was raised and educated in Lawrence and graduated from Lawrence High School Class of 1974.

Barbara worked for the IRS at the Andover Campus for 37 years, most recently as a tax analyst. Through those years, Barbara held many different positions and made countless friends.

Barbara was an avid shopper who enjoyed finding a good deal and then sharing it with her family. She was a big NE Patriots and the Boston Red Sox fan. Barbara was a brutally honest person, who was never afraid to speak her mind. She was always someone that you could count on if you needed help, even if you didn't think you needed it.

She is survived by her daughters; Monique Lavoie and her husband, Junior Torres of Haverhill, MA and Lynette Boutin of Plaistow, NH. Her sister, Linda Smith-Johnson of Lawrence, MA. Her brothers; William Krapowicz of Eliot, ME, Robert Nelson of MA, James Nelson of Haverhill, MA, Richard Nelson and his wife, Lisa of Eliot, ME, Charles Nelson of Derry, NH, Gary Nelson of Haverhill, MA and Don Nelson of Haverhill, MA. Five grandchildren; Jacob Wesoja and his wife, Lauren, Jivany, Julien, Damitri and Rosalynn Torres. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Her son, Ryan R. Boutin predeceased her.

Friends and family are invited to attend Barbara's Life Celebration on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 3 – 7 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 121A), Plaistow, NH 03865. Funeral Services will take place at the funeral home on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 11 AM. A private burial will take place at a later date.
