Barbara Ann Beaupre, aka “Barb, Barbie, Oma, Sugar Cones, Froggie, Omafrog, Omie” of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away on December 24, 2024 at 1437 hours in her home in Palm Springs, CA. She lived in her home for fifty years where she enjoyed many gatherings and loved her view of the mountain. She also loved the stars at night and the airplanes that landed at the local airport. She died peacefully in her home where she was surrounded with the love of her family just like her late husband Keith had. They are now rejoicing in heaven together where he owes her a few dances.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later time. Her family has chosen to take this time to grieve in private due to her tremendous loss to them and in lieu of flowers, they ask that you donate to a local shelter (animal or homeless) as this was something she did every year.
Barbara was born on January 04, 1936 to Arthur Gene Ruehl (Wisconsin) and Zara Stevenson (United States) in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She completed up to the 10th grade. She had a son, David Edward Martin, and a daughter, Cristine Karen Carnesi. She married Leonard Keith Beaupre on August 01, 1981 in Palm Springs, CA at the Desert Chapel. She worked as a bartender and waitress for Lucifers, Lords English Grill, Mawby’s, and Bob’s Big Boy. She was well known as a Hairdresser where for many years she cut, colored, and styled many people’s hair. During her time as a Hairdresser, she worked alongside her husband, Keith, and they even owned a salon together named Keith & Friends. Barbara maintained her license as a Cosmetologist until her very last day. After retiring from the cosmetology industry, she became an officiant, a dog/pet sitter, and a caregiver achieving her Certified Nursing Assistant license. Her favorite past times included cooking and baking. She shared many of her baked goods with neighbors, and first responders.
