Aurelio Gabot

Aurelio B. Gabot, 74, was born on September 25, 1948, in Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines. He passed away on March 08, 2023 due to heart failure. He had a long history of heart and diabetes problems but these did not deter him from enjoying a happy life with his friends and family.  He had a quadruple heart bypass operation at age 50 and the 4th heart attack was in December 2022.
His father Paulo Imanil Gabot died at age 62, also due to heart failure. His mother Benjamina Bailon Gabot lived long, died at age 101.
Aurelio was educated at Mapua Institue of Technology and passed the Mechanical Engineering Board  exams in 1971.
The Gabot family migrated to the United States and called California their home since 1985.  He is survived by his wife,  Carolina Soriano Ellorin, his classmate at Manaoag National High School, daughters Kathryn Gabot-Puhawan, a medical doctor, married to Ronald Puhawan and Joanne Karla Gabot-Heyman, a dentist, married to David Heyman. Aurelio and Carolina have four grandchildren.  They lovingly call him “Papa.”  Kathryn’s children are Karolyn and Ryder, Joanne’s children are Kayla and David Jr
