La familia de AURA LINA ALTAMIRANO anuncia su fallecimiento el viernes 8 de junio de 2018 en su casa en Norwalk, CA. Aura Lina será recordada amorosamente por su familia, sus hermanos en Cristo y sus amigos. Le precedieron a la presencia del Señor sus padres Ãngel Altamirano y Rosita Rueda Altamirano.
Le sobreviven sus hijos Maira JarquÃn, Donald Barrera, Nydia B. Gómez, Selenia Noonan y Aura Ivania Barrera Villagra; sus nietos Aura Lina Ortiz, Mario JarquÃn Jr, Joel JarquÃn, Donald Saúl Barrera, Maira Nydia Barrera, Aura Selenia Barrera, William A. Gómez, Anthony E. Gómez, James Donald Noonan, Christopher Noonan, Joshua Noonan, Ãngel Miguel Barrera y Andrea Ivania Wilcox; sus 10 bisnietos; y sus hermanas Vilma Gutiérrez, Rosalpina Herold, Ernestina Sandoval y Thelma D'Mark.
Originaria de Managua, Nicaragua, Aura Lina asistió a la Universidad Autónoma de Nicaragua–UNAN, donde se graduó con un tÃtulo en Administración de Empresas con honores. Luego pasó a servir como Directora General de Comercio en el Ministerio de EconomÃa del gobierno de Nicaragua y tuvo el honor de representar al paÃs en muchos congresos internacionales. Además, Aura Lina fue catedrática en la Facultad de EconomÃa en la UNAN y en el Centro de Estudios Superiores–CES en Managua.
En 1980, ella emigró a los EE. UU.. Una vez en los Estados Unidos, Aura Lina enfrentó la vida con entusiasmo al continuar creciendo profesionalmente. No le llevó mucho tiempo comenzar sus 25 años de carrera en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Los Ãngeles–LAUSD donde se desempeñó como Gerente Financiero.
Bajo su dirección se formó el Club de Damas Nicaragüenses y se desempeñó como presidenta del club durante 15 años al ser nombrada unánimemente cada año por las damas miembros del club. Además, Aura Lina tuvo la alegrÃa de servir al Señor en la Iglesia Bautista El Calvario de Gardena y en la Iglesia Bautista El Calvario de Whittier, donde enseñó en la Escuela Dominical y en la Clase de Nuevos Convertidos.
Se llevará a cabo un Velorio el viernes 6 de julio de 2018 de las 5:00 PM a las 9:00 PM y el Servicio Religioso será a las 7:00 PM. Al dÃa siguiente, sábado, 7 de julio de 2018 será el Servicio Fúnebre en memoria de Aura Lina a las 11:30 AM y el sepelio seguirá a continuación. Los servicios se llevarán a cabo en la Church of Our Fathers en Forest Lawn de Cypress, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California 90630. Oficiarán sus dos pastores, el Rev. Mauricio Martinez y el Rev. José M. Romero.
Sus hijos aprecian todo el amor que Aura Lina recibió en vida de parte de sus familiares, hermanos en Cristo y amigos.

The family of AURA LINA ALTAMIRANO announces her passing, on Friday, June 8, 2018 at her house in Norwalk, CA. Aura Lina will be lovingly remembered by her family, brethren in Christ, and friends. Aura Lina was predeceased by her parents, Angel Altamirano and Rosita Rueda Altamirano.
She is survived by her children Maira Jarquin, Donald Barrera, Nydia B. Gomez, Selenia Noonan, and Aura Ivania Barrera Villagra; her grandchildren Aura Lina Ortiz, Mario Jarquin Jr, Joel Jarquin, Donald Saul Barrera, Maira Nydia Barrera, Aura Selenia Barrera, William A. Gomez, Anthony E. Gomez, James Donald Noonan, Christopher Noonan, Joshua Noonan, Angel Miguel Barrera, and Andrea Ivania Wilcox; her 10 great-grand children; and her sisters Vilma Gutierrez, Rosalpina Harold, Ernestina Sandoval, and Thelma D'Mark.
A native of Nicaragua, Aura Lina attended the Autonomous University of Nicaragua–UNAN where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration with honors. She then went to serve as a General Director of Commerce in the Secretary of Commerce for the government of Nicaragua and had the honor to represent the country on many international congresses. In addition, Aura Lina was a professor at the Faculty of Economics at the UNAN and at the Higher Studies Center–CES in Managua.
In 1980, she emigrated to the U.S.. Once in the States, Aura Lina faced life with enthusiasm by continuing to grow professionally. It did not take long for her to start her 25 years careers with Los Angeles Unified School District–LAUSD where she served as a Financial Manager.
Under her guidance, the Nicaraguan Ladies Club was formed and she served as the club's President for 15 years as she was unanimously appointed by her peers every year. In addition, Aura Lina had the blessings to serve the Lord at the Iglesia Bautista El Calvario of Gardena and at the Iglesia Bautista El Calvario of Whittier, where she taught Sunday School and the New Convert Class.
The Church Visitation Service will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and the Vigil will be at 7:00 PM. The following day, Saturday, July 7, 2018, a Funeral Service will be held in memory of Aura Lina at 11:30 AM and the Interment will follow next. All services will be held at the Church of Our Fathers at Forest Lawn Cypress, 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California 90630. Her two pastors, Rev. Mauricio Martinez and Rev. Jose M. Romero will officiate during the services.
Her children appreciate all the love Aura Lina received in her life from her relatives, brethren in Christ, and friends.
