In Loving Memory of Augustine Vigilant

Augustine Vigilant, lovingly known to family and friends as a devoted mother, grandmother, and faithful Christian woman, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 80.

Born on February 21, 1946, in Soufriere, St. Mark, Dominica, Augustine lived a life grounded in faith, love, strength, and dedication to her family. She later made her home in Long Beach, California, where she continued to touch the lives of those around her with kindness, wisdom, and compassion.

A devoted Christian, Augustine’s faith was the foundation of her life. She was known for her caring spirit, unwavering love for her family, and deep commitment to her beliefs. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Augustine is lovingly remembered by her seven children: sons Abner, Reggie, Sherwin, and Sherman; and daughters Kerry, Noreen, and Karen. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, relatives, friends, and loved ones who will cherish her memory forever.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, California.

Services to celebrate Augustine’s life will be held on June 19, 2026, and June 20, 2026. Additional service details will be shared by the family.

Though she is gone from our sight, Augustine’s love, faith, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always.
