August Soriano San Agustin was born on August 1, 1951 to Honorata Soriano and Fermin San Agustin in his beloved town of Morong, Rizal, Philippines. He was born third out of the six children of the family, Rene, Ligaya (Gaying), Oscar Jose (†), and Sidnie (†). August graduated from Morong High School in 1968 and attended Philippine School of Business Administration to study Bachelor of Science in Commerce major in Accounting.
August married the love of his life, Felicitas Ramos on October 8, 1978. They were blessed with three wonderful children, Hershey, Mimilanie, and RJ. Soon after his son was born, August resigned from his job at F E Zuellig to be the primary caregiver to his three young children until he migrated in the US in January 1986. August worked hard to give his family a better life. In 1993, he brought his family in the US. He provided for his family and encouraged his children to have a better life than what he had. He was very proud of his children’s accomplishment and who they have become. August was blessed to see his family grow. He walked his daughters down the aisle when they married his sons-in-law, Alfred and David. He was present at each of his grandchildren’s birth – Amanda, Aeden, Kayla, and Nathan. He traveled many places with his wife, children and grandchildren. With his travels, one of his bucket list was completed – to see all the Grand Slam Tennis Tournaments.
August worked at several companies after migrating in the US. He retired at the United States Postal Service where he worked as a Mail Carrier for over 15 years.
August loved his wife dearly. He was a devoted father to his children and an amazing grandfather to his grandchildren. He touched so many lives by his laughs, wisdoms, and jokes. August passed away on February 15, 2024. He will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.
