Audrey Virginia Duffy (b. Morrow), 87, was born on October 21, 1925, in Los Angeles, California, to Whitney Livengood Morrow and Muriel Evelyn Slater Morrow. She resided in Encino, California and remained at her home until the time of her passing on October 11, 2013. She graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 1943 and during World War II attended Santa Monica College for one year, followed by secretarial school. At age 19 years, Audrey was employed at Security National Bank and was known for her meticulous, nearly perfect work as an executive secretary. Audrey worked at the bank for 7 years until marrying her husband, John "Jack" Duffy.
What will be remembered most about Audrey is her generous heart. She and her husband, Jack, showed great concern and care for the well being of her family, friends and neighbors. Audrey felt very strongly about providing for a quality education for her children throughout 12 years of private schooling, 4 years at the University of Southern California (she was an avid Trojan fan- Fight On!) as well as post-graduate studies for both of her children. This tradition of providing for quality education continued on to the next generation of grandchildren, providing funding for their higher education. During her later years, she was a very generous mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and took much pleasure in providing for the needs of her family and friends.
Audrey is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 62 years, John J. Duffy, son Stephen M. Duffy (Barbra Hunter Duffy), daughter Kathleen Duffy Davis (Gerald J. Davis) , sister Barbara Ann Weed (Donald Weed) and 4 grandchildren, Patrick A. Duffy, James Morrow Davis, Sarah Kathryn Davis West, (Paul D. West) , and John Parker Davis.
