Arsenio Sumampong

Our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend, Arsenio "Ars" B. Sumampong, passed away on September 12, 2026 in the comfort of his home in Foothill Ranch, CA, surrounded by his loving family. He was 87 years old. Ars was born on December 18, 1938, in Tibungco, Davao City, Philippines. He led a life of love, laughter, service to others and faithful devotion of Jesus' Divine Mercy.

Ars spent 67 years as a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, assisting clients and mentoring students. His strong work ethic and commitment to helping others leaves a lasting impact on the profession he cherished.

Ars's memory lives on through those who love him. He will be lovingly remembered by his dear wife of 60 years, Marietta, and their six children: Faith, Joy, Arma, Abraham, Imelda, and Jinkee. He will be deeply missed by his ten grandchildren: Kyra, Christopher, Chalsea, Kym, Joie, Karl, Samantha, Miranda, Caden, and Jakob; and three great-grandchildren: Jasmine, Jordan and Jade, who affectionately call him "Lolo Ars."

Ars's legacy of humor, perseverance and servant leadership will be carried forward by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. The greatest lesson he shared is for us to be good to one another and to always lead with kindness in our hearts. This is the best tribute we can give to honor his extraordinary life.

Visitation and viewing will be held at The Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn in Glendale, CA on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Funeral service will be held at the Church of the Recessional at Forest Lawn in Glendale, CA on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 1:30 pm.
