Derry, NH: Arline L. (Gelineau) Clark, 83, of Derry and formerly of Haverhill, MA and Newton, NH, died on December 9, 2015 in Hudson, NH.
Born, raised, and educated in Haverhill, daughter of the late Hervey and Bertha (Driscoll) Gelineau, she graduated from St. James High School with the Class of 1950. She went on to attend St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Lowell where she received her Registered Nursing Certificate.
Mrs. Clark had been employed as a Registered Nurse at the Hale Hospital in Haverhill, as a School Nurse for the City of Haverhill, as a Nurse for Dr. Sapereto's Office, and finally at Stevens Hall in North Andover.
A former member and Eucharistic Minister of St. Luke the Evangelist Parish at Mary Mother of the Church, Newton, and a former member of St. Joseph Parish in Haverhill, Mrs. Clark was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, where she served on the Tabernacle Society and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the former Saint Anne Society at Saint Joseph Parish.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was a member of the Wednesday Night Bowling League at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband, William E. Clark, her son, William E. Clark, Jr. and her sister Helen Langlois.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Stephen Clark and Thomas Clark both of Haverhill, three daughters and sons-in-law Anne Marie and Keith Nelson of Chester, NH, Kathleen and Thomas Lavallee of Derry, and Maureen and John Meletis of Derry, a daughter-in-law Frances Clark of Hampstead, a brother, Harvey Gelineau, Jr., seven grandchildren, Paula Cayer and her husband Kenneth, Karen Ann Boudreau and her husband Lee, Richard Nelson and his wife Jennifer, Ian Clark, Christopher Lavallee, Mary Catherine Lavallee and Samantha Ann Meletis, two great grandchildren, Erin Cayer and Reed Nelson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Life Celebration to be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Brookside Chapel &Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow NH. Her Funeral service will follow at 11:15 in the funeral home and conclude with burial in Willow Grove Cemetery, Newton.
