Arleen J. Walterscheid, born on May 31, 1923, in Pomona, California, passed away on June 17, 2013. She resided in Glendale, Arizona at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Covina, California. Viewing is on Friday , June 28, 2013 from 5 P.M - 9 P.M at Forest Lawn, Covina. Family only graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 29,2013. Arleen is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ivy Hunter, brother, Stanley Hunter and her beloved husband of thirty-eight years, Jack Walterscheid. Arleen is survived by her three children, Larry, Stanley and Jacquelyn, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Arleen was a avid sportswomen. She played women's softball, golfed as was a member of the Mountain Meadows, Marshall Canyon and Glenoaks Ladies Golf Clubs. She fished with a group of lady anglers, enjoying ocean fishing the most. Arleen enjoyed hunting, boating and water skiing with Jack and her children.
Arleen upon the passing of her beloved Jack enjoyed the company of her friends and family and traveled the world. She traveled about Australia and New Zealand. She traveled to the Mediterranian visiting Italy and the Middle East, Israel and Egypt. Arleen traveled to Ireland and kissed the Blarney Stone and traversed the Panama Canal. She fished for Salmon with her son Stanley in Alaska and ballooned with Larry and his wife Deane. With her daughter, Jackie, son-in-law, Allen and grandchildren she visited the Hawaiian Islands. Most of all she enjoyed all the times she shared with all her family members.
