Aquilina Gamboa died peacefully in her sleep on October 19, 2026. Lina, as she was known by family and friends, was 100 years old. She was born on November 05, 1925, in Munoz, Nueva Eciva, Philippines. Lina was married to Artemio Gamboa for 41 years before he passed away in 1994. She and Artemio lived in Tamuning, Guam until 1976.  Lina also lived in the cities of Corpus Christi, Texas, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Mission Viejo, and Camarillo, California.  Her interests included flower arranging, playing mahjong, traveling and caring for her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Evangeline Hritz, Susan Gibson, Elizabeth Martinez, Alice Leavitt and Lorna Tankersley; their spouses; 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Cypress, CA.
