Annice Carolyn Brossard

January 26, 1919 — November 20, 2014

Annice Carolyn Brossard died peacefully at home in Murrieta, California surrounded by her family on November 20, 2014. She was 95.

Annice Carolyn Poore was born on January 26, 1919 to Orson Birney "O.B." Poore and Louise Marie (Grebe) Poore in Duluth, Minnesota but her family lived in the small town of Federal Dam, Minnesota -- she often spoke of attending the same school (where her mother taught) from first grade to high school. Annice was married to Orrin John Brossard with whom she had a daughter, Caryn Sue (Brossard) Spencer. Annice later married Eldon Earl Brossard and they also raised David Neil Brossard who was Eldon's son from an earlier marriage. Annice and Eldon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August.

After leaving Minnesota, Annice lived in several cities in California: San Diego, Granada Hills, and Sepulveda, and then moved to Glendale Arizona for two years. Upon their return to California, they lived for more than 25 years in San Rafael, before relocating to Murrieta.

Annice worked as an office assistant for different businesses and eventually as mother and homemaker.

Annice loved people, the P.E.O. Sisterhood, cats, reading, and playing Scrabble. She was always interested in others and was thrilled to learn about their travels and different things in their lives.

In addition to her husband and children, Annice is survived by Caryn's husband Leslie Spencer, David's wife Sally Beck, her grandson Jonathan Spencer and his wife Chanda Spencer, and her great-grandchildren Kaya, Dryden, and Reagan Spencer.

Annice was cremated and her remains interred at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Glendale, California. Her family conducted a private memorial. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
