Annette Lee O'Bannon 75, of Palm Desert was called to her eternal home on March 4, 2020.
She spent her last years at Legend Gardens in Palm Desert where she passed peacefully in her
sleep. Thank you to the Legend Gardens staff and friends for all the laughs and hard work; she
appreciated all of you.

Annette was born in Tempe, Arizona on July 15, 1944, to Clifton and Ida Shaw. She grew up in
Southern California, and spent most of her adult life raising her three children in the Coachella
Valley. She was a hard worker and retired from Sunline Transit as a Dispatcher.
Annette may have been short in stature, but had a big personality with a sharp wit. She will
forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Annette is survived by her sister, Karen Watson of Wisconsin; son, Randy Copenhaver of
Upland, Calif.; son, Oliver "Buddy" O'Bannon Jr. of La Quinta, Calif., and her 10 grandchildren
and 3 great grandchildren.

Annette was preceded in death by her Father, Clifton in 1984; Mother, Ida in 1996; her
Daughter, Sandra Lee Copenhaver in 1992 and Sister, Mary Etta Clark in 2008. Per her request,
Annette was cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held at Desert Memorial Park in
Cathedral City on April 3, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. We will miss you "Mema".
