Anne Lamb, 101 & 1/2 years old, of Anaheim California passed away December 24th, Christmas Eve morning and left this world to be with her Lord. Mom was very close to Jesus as she prayed daily to him. I've listened to her pray and can assure all she is very close to Jesus. She was born to Jeanette & John Haringsma of Holland, Michigan. She graduated Holland High School at the age of 16. She told me she graduated early because she was smart and skipped a grade. She met here husband, Vaughn Harmon in Holland Michigan and they married . Vaughn was sent overseas during WW2. Anne stayed home with her young son Jon D with the help of her sisters and mother. The family eventually moved to California and settled in Anaheim in1953. Jon's father worked as a projectionist for IATSE local 504 and Anne worked for Buffums Department store as manager of womenswear. Anne remarried Dr. Robert Lamb and continued to live in Anaheim. She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was very active. Anne loved to travel and visited the Holy Land, Petra and the Netherlands and other countries. She loved family and traveled to Michigan to see her mother & father and brother and sisters. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren as she was present for their birth. Anne also loved knitting blankets, spending time in the garden or just laying out in the sun. While she was in assisted living the staff quickly came to love Anne because of her continual compliments. She is survived by her son Jon D. Harmon, daughter-in-law Kathleen Golden, grandson Jon J. Harmon, granddaughter Jenna Brynn Harmon Melgar and sisters Lois Cook and Isla Prelesnik and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother's John Raymond, Richard Vernon and Henry George. Her sisters Doris Loraine and Ruth Elaine. Anne Lamb loved her family. Anne was very outgoing and friendly to all those that she met.
She will truly be missed by one and all. We will miss your beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Salvation Army.
Love you Mom,
Jon D
