Anna Araxi Hajek

Anna Araxi Hajek 81, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Los Angeles, CA where she has resided for the past 65 years.

Anna was born Sept 11, 1934 to Krikor and Ashken Krikorian in Athens, Greece. In 1950, Anna, her parents and older sister Irene, immigrated to the United States.

Anna married in 1957 and had four children. She divorced in 1973 and reentered the workforce. She married Boris Hajek in 1982. Soon after she began working for Johnson & Higgins Insurance Co, retiring in 1998.

Anna's many talents included sewing, which she learned as an apprentice to a successful seamstress in Greece. She enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining. She spoke three languages, Armenian, Greek and English. She was an extremely loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Her warmth was felt by all, and many called her mom. Like her father Krikor before her, Anna had a love for music and thoroughly enjoyed singing. Her beautiful voice filled the room with passion as she sang in Greek, Armenian, Italian and many other languages. Most of all, she had a love for the Lord Jesus Christ, reflected in the way she loved others and lived her life.

Anna is survived by her loving husband Boris Hajek,
her son and daughter-in-law Greg and Pam Dibene, daughter and son-in-law Debbie and David Jackson, daughter Lisa Vig, son Jon Dibene, step-daughter Malvi Orient and significant other Walter Burke, step-daughter and son-in-law Lonny and Bob New, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
