Ann G. Ressler

January 15, 1939 — February 14, 2013

Ann G. Ressler, 74, born on January 15, 1939, in Worcester, Massachusetts, passed away February 14, 2013. She resided in Tujunga at the time of her passing. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
Ann was born in Worcester Massachusetts to Thomas and Gertrude Mealey. She is survived by her husband Ron, her sisters Marsha and Mary Ellen, her brother Thomas, her sons Ronnie and Ryan, her grandchildren Ryan, Rylee, and Brayden, her godchildren, nieces, nephews, many (many!) friends and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Edward.
Ann grew up and attended Catholic and public schools in Hudson Massachusetts. She also graduated from business school before moving to Miami Florida in the late 1950's. Ann moved to Southern California in 1961.
Ann met Ron on the White Steamer as it sailed to Catalina Island off the coast of California. They were married in Las Vegas on November 14, 1964. They settled in Tujunga California where they raised their two sons and made many friends.
Ann worked at Raytheon, First Western Bank and Lockheed. She retired from Greyhound Bus Lines after after more than 30 years and making many friends.
Ann was very active at St. James in La Crescenta while her sons attended school. She worked every bingo night and made many friends! She was also very active in the Tujunga Little League while her sons played (and her husband coached). She was a team mom, snack bar worker and worked wherever else she was needed. And she made many friends. Her membership at the Center for Spiritual Living in La Crescenta is the record for the church!
Ann had many beloved friends and family. She loved to travel, shop, gamble, shop, socialize with family and friends, shop, tell stories, shop and root for the Dodgers and the Red Sox. She always seemed to know what was going to happen before it happened and she loved to match-make for her friends (and she was very good at matchmaking!). She loved making friends and keeping them. She had close friends from her days in elementary school!
Ann made her transition peacefully at home, with her husband Ron at her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer. It is fitting she died on Valentine's Day. It was one of her favorite holidays and she loved decorating her house (and herself!) for Valentine's Day.
The family wishes to thank the members of the Assisted Home Hospice that took care of Ann during the last few weeks of her life.
