Aniano F. Miguel

Aniano "Mike" F. Miguel of Torrance, California has returned home to his Savior Jesus Christ on May 2, 2013. He was 82.

One of five children to the late Juan and Aderiana Miguel, he was born in Sigma, Capiz, Philippines. At an early age, he left his native town and ventured for a better life in Manila. While doing odd jobs, he strived to finish some college, after which, he managed to establish himself as a businessman.

He married his wife, Lety, in 1957, and was blessed with nine children. He was a great and tireless provider to his family that, when the going got tough, he moved and sought greener pastures in the US in the 1980s, followed by his wife and most children. After simultaneously doing retail business and some employment, he retired in 2005.

After seeking spiritual faith, he found Christianity and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord. He spent most of his latter life serving Him at the Calvary Chapel South Bay.

He was a Karate black-belter, a nature-lover, and an avid Bible reader. He has always been loved as a quiet and unassuming man.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years; his children Analiza, Bernard and spouse Lilia, Cris, Dennis, Bette, Flordi and spouse Alex, Grace, Leni, and Gani and spouse Christine; his grandchildren Crisley, Francis, Bernadette, Derrick, Martin, Avi and Ben; and other relatives and friends.
