Angelina B. Bucklew

Angelina (Angel) B. Bucklew, 83, born on June 22, 1934, in Narvacan Iloco Sur , Philippines, lost her second battle with Cancer and passed away peacefully in her home, her beloved sister by her side on May 27, 2018.

She attended the University of the Philippines to study nursing and completed her studies at PGH Philippine General Hospital to become a Registered Nurse, a profession that she enjoyed as well as excelled in for over 40 years.

She came to the United States in 1959, attained her citizenship and has resided here since then. She married the love of her life, Glen Bucklew on Valentine's Day 1963 and they spent over 40 years of bliss together. Glen also lost his battle with Cancer and passed away at home with Angel by his side. She was an avid traveler and they had many trips and adventures together. She also enjoyed many trips all over the world with her classmates from PGH.

She was surrounded by her loving family on her last weekend on earth and welcomed into heaven where she was reunited with her loved ones who had passed on before her. She was deeply loved by her sister and remaining 3 brothers. Many of her nieces and nephews viewed her as a second mother because of her caring, loving heart and her warm smile. People just loved to be around her because she loved to laugh and she loved to make people laugh.

In addition to her love of travel, she enjoyed spending time with family, USC football games, plants, flowers, yard work, and singing karaoke.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood and her faith was strong. She believed the only way to get through hard times was through the knowledge of God, prayer and family. She knew He was always by her side.

She will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
