Angela “Angie” Bustamante, 98, passed away August 19, 2026 in the presence of family at her home in Los Angeles, CA. Angie was born on April 24, 1928, in Gomez Palacios, Durango, Mexico to Adolfo and Augustina Carlos. She was the middle child of four brothers and had loving parents. Angie immigrated to Los Angeles at 22 years old in 1952 with her two eldest daughters, making it her home for over 70 years. She raised her daughters Cecilia, Martha and Irene with her husband, Alfredo Herman Bustamante, a former U.S Marine sergeant. She worked hard as a seamstress in the Downtown LA district for majority of her working life and retired at the age of 65. She loved to dance and was a member of the Cuban and Mexican American Social clubs and enjoyed her retirement with her husband. Angie loved to garden, dance, had a beautiful singing voice and made the best Mexican tamales and Spanish rice! She made friends everywhere she went, her laughter and smile could truly light up a room. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, neighbor and friend - our crowned jewel of the Bustamante family.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Cecilia, Martha and Irene, her son-in-laws Ronald, Hector, and James as well as her grandchildren Tesla, Angelique, Ronaldo, Brian and Heather and her great-grandchildren Kaitlin, Jacqueline, Ryan, Benicio, Xavier, and Beckett. Arrangements are under the care of Forest Lawn, Glendale, CA.
