Anabel Sanchez

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Anabel Sánchez, who left us on January 12, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on October 19, 1975, in Mexicali, Baja California, Anabel lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and an unwavering love for others.

From a young age, Anabel's tender heart and insatiable curiosity set her apart. She had a deep love for both people and animals and an innate desire to help those in need. This calling led her to pursue a career in nursing. While raising her firstborn, she enrolled in Indio High School's health academy, earning her medical assistant certification upon graduation.

Anabel's strength, determination, and boundless love for her three children guided her through every challenge and milestone. She worked tirelessly to build a bright future for her family, earning her nursing degree from College of the Desert in May 2010 and later achieving her BSN. For over 14 years, she selflessly served the Coachella Valley, first as a dedicated emergency room nurse at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital and, more recently, as a nurse at the John J. Benoit Detention Center.

Anabel was a beacon of kindness, always dependable and willing to lend a helping hand. She embraced life with warmth, resilience, and a generosity that left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She is survived by her three beloved children, four cherished grandchildren, her loving parents, and her three devoted siblings.

Interment services for Anabel will be held on February 28th, 2025 at 1:00pm at 82925 52nd Ave, Coachella, CA 92236.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her honor.

Though she is no longer with us, Anabel's legacy of love and service will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
