Ana Marquez

Ana Gloria Marquez, born in Santa Ana, El Salvador on May 02, 1952 was the second child of Alejandro Valiente and Celia Nuñez. Ana left her home country to begin a better life and settled in Los Angeles, California in 1977. It was there she met her life partner Carlos Marquez. Ana, or Gloria as family and friends often called her, went on to have three children, whom she loved with all her heart. When their third child was a toddler, Carlos and Ana decided that Ana would quit working a “9 to 5” day job, and permanently work as a stay at home mother to raise their children and take care of all home tasks and responsibilities. Ana spent the rest of her life, together with Carlos, raising their kids, teaching them to become exemplary adults, and providing them with the full love and utmost care imaginable. Ana was loved by so many family and friends, as she was always reaching out to them via phone calls or visits, and would always be a shining light at gatherings with her warmth, humility, laughter, love, and care for others. Sadly, Ana passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023 after a battle with cancer and complications, surrounded by her husband, children, and a few close family members, right by her side. She is survived by her husband Carlos, her three children; Carlos Alexander Marquez, Gloria Ivette Marquez, and Erik Bladimir Marquez; daughter-in-law Kimberly, her loving grandchildren Paula, Eligh, Jacob, and Jayme, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and numerous extended relatives, family members, and friends. She resided in North Hollywood, CA with her husband of 46 years, Carlos, at the time of her passing. She is now reunited with her parents, and will forever be loved and missed. Rest in Eternal Peace and Paradise Ana.
