With profound sadness and unwavering love, we announce the passing of Ana Maria Mejia, who entered into eternal rest on July 4, 2026, at the age of 89.

Born in El Salvador on March 10, 1937, Ana Maria lived a life defined by faith, courage, perseverance, and unconditional love. She made the brave decision to leave her homeland in search of a better future, arriving in the United States without knowing the language and without the support of family or friends. Through determination, hard work, and an unbreakable spirit, she built a life for herself and proudly achieved the dream of purchasing her own home. Her journey remains an enduring testament to resilience, sacrifice, and hope.

Ana Maria was the beloved matriarch of her family—a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, proud great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Silvia and Miriam; her seven beloved grandchildren, Steven, Kevin, Tania, Sandra, Rafael, Oscar, and Eduardo; and her five treasured great-grandchildren, Kevin, Sebastian, Alan, Isaiah, and Celine. Her greatest joy was her family, and she dedicated her life to loving, supporting, and praying for each of them.

Those who knew Ana Maria will remember her for her blunt honesty, fierce tenacity, remarkable bravery, and unwavering strength. She spoke her mind with conviction, stood firm in her beliefs, and faced life’s challenges with courage. Yet behind that strong exterior was a compassionate heart that was always ready to help those she loved. She was the family’s steady foundation, always present with wisdom, encouragement, and a willingness to lend a hand whenever she was needed.

Her Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. Ana Maria faithfully attended Mass and found peace and purpose in her relationship with God. Every evening, she prayed the Rosary and faithfully lifted her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren up in prayer, asking God to watch over them, guide them, and bless their lives. Her faith was quiet but steadfast, and the love she expressed through her prayers will remain one of the greatest gifts she leaves behind.

While her family mourns the loss of her physical presence, they rejoice in knowing that she is now reunited with the Lord she loved and served so faithfully. Her legacy of strength, perseverance, faith, and unconditional love will continue to inspire generations to come.

Ana Maria Mejia was more than the matriarch of her family—she was its heart. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Though she is no longer with us, her love, her prayers, and the example she set will remain in our hearts forever.

Con profundo dolor y un inmenso amor, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Ana María Mejía, quien partió a la presencia del Señor el 4 de julio de 2026, a la edad de 89 años.

Nacida en El Salvador el 10 de marzo de 1937, Ana María vivió una vida marcada por la fe, el valor, la perseverancia y el amor incondicional. Con una inmensa valentía, dejó su tierra natal en busca de un mejor futuro, llegando a los Estados Unidos sin conocer el idioma y sin el apoyo de familiares o amigos. Gracias a su determinación, su incansable esfuerzo y su espíritu inquebrantable, logró salir adelante y cumplir el sueño de comprar su propia casa. Su historia es un verdadero testimonio de resiliencia, sacrificio y esperanza.

Ana María fue la querida matriarca de su familia: una madre ejemplar, abuela amorosa, bisabuela orgullosa y una fiel hija de Dios. Le sobreviven sus amadas hijas, Silvia y Miriam; sus siete queridos nietos, Steven, Kevin, Tania, Sandra, Rafael, Oscar y Eduardo; y sus cinco adorados bisnietos, Kevin, Sebastián, Alan, Isaiah y Celine. Su mayor alegría siempre fue su familia, y dedicó su vida a amarlos, cuidarlos y acompañarlos con sus oraciones.

Quienes tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla la recordarán por su sinceridad, su tenacidad, su fortaleza y su extraordinario valor. Siempre decía las cosas con franqueza y enfrentaba cada desafío con una determinación admirable. Detrás de ese carácter fuerte había un corazón lleno de amor, bondad y generosidad. Siempre estaba presente cuando su familia la necesitaba, brindando apoyo, consejo y un amor incondicional. Fue el pilar de su familia, una presencia firme que ofrecía fortaleza y consuelo en los momentos más importantes de la vida.

Su fe católica fue el fundamento de su vida. Asistía fielmente a la Santa Misa y encontraba en Dios la fuerza y la paz para cada día. Cada noche elevaba sus oraciones por sus hijas, sus nietos y sus bisnietos, pidiéndole al Señor que los protegiera, los guiara y los bendijera siempre. Sus oraciones fueron uno de los regalos más valiosos que dejó a su familia, y su legado de fe continuará viviendo en cada uno de ellos.

Aunque hoy su partida llena de tristeza nuestros corazones, encontramos consuelo en saber que ahora descansa en la paz eterna, reunida con el Señor a quien amó y sirvió con tanta fidelidad. Su ejemplo de fortaleza, sacrificio, perseverancia y amor incondicional seguirá inspirando a las generaciones venideras.
