Amanda Cordon, born on April 18, 1929, in Nicaragua, passed away on January 16, 2026, in Norco, California. She was a remarkable woman whose kindness and unwavering love touched the lives of many. Amanda dedicated her life to her family, sacrificing much for her daughters' private education when they were young, despite facing challenges with limited income. Her commitment to her family was a testament to her character, as she cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece, sisters, and brothers, as well as all of the pets she cherished.
Amanda is fondly remembered for the joy she brought to those around her. Many will cherish their memories of spending time with her, such as the delightful mornings spent making Nacatamels with her daughters and grandkids, where laughter flowed freely, particularly as Amanda would humorously take over the cooking. Her willingness to share everything she had extended beyond cooking, creating a warm and inviting environment filled with love and laughter.
Throughout her life, Amanda embraced her hobbies with passion. She enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, and painting by numbers on her ipad, allowing her creativity to flourish. An avid reader, she also loved to unwind with scary movies, criminal shows and indulged in her favorite junk foods, creating a memorable atmosphere that her family adored. Amanda would look for Rick or Travis and give them cash to purchase their favorite fast food Taco Bell and In and Out!
Amanda leaves behind a loving family: her daughters Jeanett, Rosa, Leda, and Nilda (her niece), her sons Rick, Fernie, Ron, and Art; her sisters Rosa Maria and Claudia; and her brothers Chale, Duilio, and Federico (Tito), and cousin Michel. She was also a proud grandmother to Ricky Jr., Michelle, Travis, Sydney, Tommy, Rachel, Dane, and Marcus, and a devoted great-grandmother to Gavin, Emma, and Evelyn.
She will be deeply missed not only by her living family members but also held dear in the hearts of her late husband, Jaime Cordon, her stepmother Dona Rosita, and her beloved best friend Celia Padilla. Amanda is remembered as a woman of incredible warmth, generosity, and spirit, whose legacy will continue to live on in the love shared between her family.
