Ibarra December 23,1950 they were married for 55 years before his death in December 2006. They had 7 children. She is survived by 6 children and their spouses, Ismael G. Ibarra (Lucinda), Ismelda Ibarra-Serrano (Juan). 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, and 2 siblings. Her brother Elias Garza and her twin Sister Amelia G. Mares.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Juan G. Ibarra Sr., her son Isaias Ibarra, her grandson Ismael Ibarra Jr., and daughter in law Rosemary Valenzuela Ibarra.
She immigrated to Texas once she was married and was a migrant worker who followed the crops around this country until settling in California in the early 1960's. After a few years working the fields here in California she moved into the hospitality business working at the Riviera from 1970-74. She then moved to The Palm Springs Tennis Club in 1975 where she began as a housekeeper and retired as a supervisor in 1994. One of her greatest attributes was that she was one of the kindest, sweetest, caring persons who ever existed. She loved her family dearly. She was a hard worker and a giving person. Never had an unkind word to say about anyone, and was always quick to help. She gave the wisest of advice and with just a touch of her warm hand and the taste of her flour tortillas she could wash your cares away. She will be missed more than words can ever say. We will always love you mom. Services will be March 22 from 5-9 p.m. @ Forest Lawn, in the Ramon Chapel, Cathedral City, and on March 23 we will have a last farewell at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn followed by a procession to Desert Memorial Park.
