Amado Mayonila Amit

Our beloved Amado Mayonila Amit, age 84 passed away in his home on Saturday, January 26, 2013 @ 4:35 am.  He was born on September 13, 1928, in Jolo, Sulu, Philippines, the son of Marcelo and Asuncion Mayonila Amit. He is one of six children, the eldest being Lydia, Rolando, Norma, Amado, Atching and the youngest, Aster.  He fell in love and married Presentacion Hijara Lucero Amit on October 4, 1953.  This year would have been their 60th anniversary.  They left the Philippines in June 1969 in pursuit of a better future filled with opportunities for their children.  They have resided in Los Angeles since their arrival. Amado, aka Boy, is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Presing, 3 children - Lemuel (aka Lem), Emmanuel (aka Em, Manny), and Maria (aka Luchie); 9 grandchildren - Aliecia, Marina, Valerie, Jeremie, Justin, Jessica, Jaimie, Marlon and Erika; and 8 great grandchildren - Ashley, Aiden, Sharina, Maia, Kyle, Tyler, Ashton and Ethan and a large extended family of loving relatives and friends.

Our loved one has gone home to our Father.

As his life is renewed in heaven, your kindness, remembrance and loving support will forever remain in our hearts.
