Alwynne B. Nuttall

August 25, 1923 — November 19, 2014

Alwynne Ruth Nuttall was born Alwynne Ruth Bywater in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Elina Bywater on August 25, 1923. She was the youngest of four children. Her siblings were Ellie, Glen, and Paul. Alwynne enjoyed growing up in the metropolitan area of Salt Lake City which felt like a small town community. Alwynne attended East High School in Salt Lake graduating in 1940. Alwynne had several thespian roles in plays during high school and her freshman year in college. No doubt, her experiences in acting spurred a lifelong interest in the entertainment industry.

Alwynne met her future husband, H. Wendell Nuttall, at their neighborhood ward while in high school. After a courtship spanning the year prior and during the first months of WWII, Alwynne and Wendell were married on April 19, 1942. Alwynne and Wendell enjoyed hiking and taking pictures in the beautiful canyons near Salt Lake City.

Alwynne and Wendell relocated to Lynwood, California in 1951 with their young family and later moved to La Mirada and Buena Park, California. Alwynne worked as the Executive Secretary to the principal of La Mirada High School and later at the ABC Unified School District when her boss advanced to become a superintendent. Alwynne retired from her secretarial career in 1981 to assist Wendell with his real estate business. Alwynne always had an interest in astrology and avidly followed daily horoscopes for herself and others.

Alwynne and Wendell had three children: Anne (1943); Julie (1947); and Douglas (1950). Wendell preceded Alwynne in death in 2001, as did her grandchild, Eric in 2003. She is survived by her children, daughter-in-law, Frances, four grandchildren (Greg, Jennifer, Gregory, and Martin) and five great-grandchildren (Akiva, Dannon, Kayden, Ethan, and Sidney) as well as many nieces and nephews and
in-laws. Alwynne was glad to have had such good neighbors as Dean and Marilyn over the years,

Alwynne will be missed by all those who knew her.
