With hearts full of love and gratitude, we honor the cherished life of Alma “Amy” Albay Batugo, who was called to eternal rest on March 11th, 2024. Surrounded by her loved ones, Amy found serenity after a resilient journey with cancer. As a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend, Amy's life epitomized divine faith, boundless love, and enduring strength.
Born on January 4, 1964, in Olongapo City, Philippines, Amy embraced life's early trials with grace and unwavering faith, which shaped her into the extraordinary woman we all revered. Amy's deep-rooted faith guided her through life's challenges, exemplified by her daily recitation of the rosary. In her youth, her vibrant spirit shone through leadership in volleyball and basketball, involvement in cosmetology and journalism, and her distinguished role as a Captain in the Cadet Officer Candidate Course. Engaging in singing and karaoke, Amy found joyful avenues for self-expression while creating cherished memories with loved ones.
As a devoted wife, Amy exemplified the essence of love and partnership. Her commitment to her husband was a testament to their enduring bond. Together, they navigated through life's joys and challenges with unbounded support and love. As a mother of four, Amy poured her heart into nurturing them with values, wisdom, humor, and a passion for the arts. Her culinary creations, particularly her signature dishes, Filipino spaghetti and lumpia, became cherished traditions at large family gatherings, reflecting her generous spirit, dedication, and patience.
Amy's legacy is one of selflessness, generosity, and a life filled with acts of kindness and laughter. Her strength, warmth, compassion, and bright smile made her a pillar of support for many. Her humility, integrity, and unwavering faith embodied her remarkable character. Amy's legacy of commitment, dedication, and love continues to inspire those she touched. Though she has journeyed to her eternal home, the light of her spirit continues to shine brightly in our hearts. Amy is survived by her husband, four children, and her cherished family dog.
