Allifee Boldon

July 27, 1941 — April 10, 2015

Allifee Boldon was born on July 27, 1941 in Streetman, TX. The youngest of 8 children, Al was born to the late James Paul and Izora Boldon. A stand out scholar and athlete, Al excelled at both baseball and basketball and graduated from Dogan High School.

After receiving his undergraduate degree in Economics from Cal State Dominguez, he went on to obtain his MBA from Dominguez as well as his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. Demonstrative of the work ethic and commitment to achievement that he would display throughout his life, Al's law degree was earned while simultaneously working full-time for McDonnell Douglas.

In 1979, Al began work at TRW. Initially serving as the Manager of Subcontracts, by the time TRW was acquired by Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems, Al had risen to the position of Director of Small Business Programs. He received numerous awards and accolades for his efforts in support of minority and women's business opportunities - two of the most notable being "TRW Black Professional of the Year" and "TRW Engineer of the Year." Throughout his career Al gave generously of his time and talent, working with church and community leaders and organizations such as NAACP, Urban League, 100 Black Men of America, and others. Even after his retirement in 2006, he remained passionate in his commitment to promoting the interests of minority and women's organizations.

A loving husband, father, brother, and friend Al passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife Mayer; his sister Mary Frances Boldon Robinson; daughter LaTrena; sons Dwayne and Keith; daughter-in-law Meredith; grandchildren Caitlin, Christopher, Paige, Nora, Sadie, Margaret; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
