Obituary

Allene Suzanne Kline-Czerniak of Lake Elsinore, California, died peacefully at home on October 20th, 2022. She was 71.

Allene was born in Allentown. Pennsylvania. She had many challenges in life, from a difficult childhood to over 50 years of escalating and serious medical issues. Despite all that, she was always loving, generous, compassionate, and full of joy and passion over her many interests. Being a mother was her greatest joy.

She loved life and was always participating. She won blue ribbons in 4H, played saxophone in school, and was a member of her high school synchronized swim team. As an excellent seamstress, as a teenager she taught sewing at Hess's Department Store in Allentown. She loved languages, and spoke several, being especially proficient in German. As such, she worked as a German-English secretary for the German company, Carl Zeiss, on 5th Avenue in New York City. She attended Nursing school at American University in Washington DC. She was the founder of A. Kline Chocolatier, of Claremont, California, and significantly influenced the confectionary manufacturing and retail industry with her excellent recipes and creative presentations. She was a consultant in the confectionery industry. She was sought out to lecture on confectionery topics, and was recognized by several community awards. She travelled coast to coast for weeks at a time almost every month for years to help her aging parents and handicapped brother in Pennsylvania and handled all their medical, financial, legal, and estate matters. She loved making and collecting unique jewelry.

She is survived by her husband, Martin, and they spent 54 years together. She is also survived by her son, Justin, his wife, Angela, their two children Dillion and Paxton, and by her daughter, Kara, her husband, Clay, and their two children Jake and Kate.
