Alipio Trinidad Dalmacio

August 15, 1927 — December 5, 2018

ATTY. ALIPIO TRINIDAD DALMACIO, CPA, MBA, was born to Simplicio Dalmacio and Emilia Trinidad of Marilao, Bulacan (Philippines) on August 15, 1927. He joined our Creator on December 5, 2018 at the age of 91 at his home in Laguna Woods, California. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Captain Luisa Dalmacio, who passed away early this year on February 20 — they were married for 54 years.

Alipio lived an extraordinary life and exemplified extreme perseverance throughout his lifetime. He graduated from Far Eastern University (FEU) with an accounting degree and immediately became a Certified Public Accountant. While working during the day, he enrolled in law school at night. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws, passed the bar exam and placed 6th among the 103 successful candidates from FEU. At the height of his career, he was sent to study in the United States under the US Department of Labor with concentration in audit and systems operation and labor law. Later in his adult life, he attended the University of the Philippines and earned his Master of Business Administration through a postgraduate scholarship.

Alipio held successful and lofty positions throughout his career span. Upon passing the bar, he was appointed Special Assistant in the Office of Economic Coordination at the Office of the President of the Philippines. Then, he was designated Chairman of a three-man Presidential Investigating Committee. Later, he became Chief Officer of the Engineering and Technology Services. Afterwards, he was selected to head National Steel Corporation, the largest steel mills in the Philippines. He ended his government career as the Special Envoy to the Middle East as Controller and Project Manager. Lastly, and before he fully retired, he entered in the private sector as President of First El Presidente and Grobest Corporaton.

Alipio had an exciting career and met numerous notable personalities such as politicians, ambassadors, and educators in the Philippines and abroad. He regaled his family with his experiences as special guest of: Ivy League School president; former UN Undersecretary; and homes of fortune company heads in the U.S. His diplomatic manner when meeting foreign delegates made him a regular guest speaker during his trips abroad.

"Aling," as he was fondly known by family and friends, will be incredibly missed by: his doting children, Pia, Lia, Liza and Noel; children-in-law, Donald Jones, Michael Meyer, Reynaldo Perez and Sheryl Nguyen; grandchildren, Christian, Christopher, Calvin, Cinque, Dylan, David, William and Chloe. He will be remembered lovingly by his siblings: Victor Dalmacio and Etta Dalmacio; brother-in-law, Gregorio Abeja; sisters-in–law, Linda Dalmacio and Nila Abeja; adoring nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Alipio was a man of highest character who had achieved a serene sense of self-fulfillment and joy. He lived a simple and uncomplicated life with commitment to caring and nourishing his mind, body and spirit. The only thing that mattered to him was his family and his faith. In the end, he was at peace. WE ARE TRULY BLESSED TO CALL HIM OUR FATHER.
