Alicia Zamarripa

August 14, 1942 — May 21, 2016

Alicia Zamarripa passed away on May 21, 2016 at home surrounded by friends and family after a fall caused by Huntingtons Disease. She was born on August 14, 1942 in Zacatecas, MX and was raised in Mexicali, MX. On October 25, 1969 she married Jose F Zamarripa II and moved to Coachella, CA where they started a family. She is survived by her four children Bully, Cano, Thoy, Rosita and four Grandchildren Alex, Cerila, Anthony and Andrew. Alicia was always a part of her children's lives often volunteering at school functions. Whether it was cupcake sales, car washes, or being a chaperone she was always there. She was a laborer for 30+ years either in the fields or in the dates. One of her biggest accomplishments was becoming a US Citizen. She wanted to be a voice and she voted at every election. She loved the Red White and Blue. Alicia was always so loving and caring that she welcomed everyone with open arms. Her biggest pride and joy were her grandchildren. She loved her "feos" and their "pilos" so much they were her everything. She also loved all of her nephews and nieces. She was diagnosed with Huntingtons Disease 2 years ago and from there her health slowly declined. Yet just a week before her passing she was out partying at the Mariachi Festival. Visitation held, Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Coachella Chapel, Coachella, Ca.
