Alice Selinger

Alice Charlotte Selinger passed away on April 27th, 2024.  She was 89 years old.  Alice was just 34 days shy of 90 years old.  

She was born on May 31, 1934 in Mannheim, Germany.  She moved to Long Beach, California in 1959, where she lived for over 50 years, then moved to Fullerton, California where she currently lived and passed away.  

Alice worked for the Long Beach School District for over 30 years serving and cooking for the many students who passed through her school. Most of her years were spent working at Hamilton Junior High School.  

She was known for her unwavering devotion to her family, delicious home-cooking, and her love of gardening.  Her home was always open to guests and she hosted several parties and gatherings along with her beloved husband and the years after.

Despite enduring health challenges, including a brain aneurysm in 1974, subsequent complications, and two broken hips.  Alice exemplified resilience.  She refused to let it hinder her zest for life, cherishing moments with her family.  Alice enjoyed watching her granddaughter grow up.  Never missing a show or event.

Alice was the proud mother of two daughters, and Oma to one granddaughter.  She treasured every moment in her role as Oma and showered her granddaughter with love and affection.

Graveside Service will be held on May 31, 2024 at 2:30pm
