Alice Chu-Hoon Moore

Alice Chu-Hoon Moore, born October 12, 1960, died peacefully in her sleep on August 23, 2013. Alice had a contagious spark the lit up this world with intelligence, love, warmth, and passion. She was a "giver" who befriended all and gave selflessly. All those whose lives she touched loved her as a sister. She had encyclopedic knowledge of history and the classics, and a smile that could melt hearts. She prided herself on being a "Panda Mom," who raises two daughters with culture and guidance that led both to Harvard as only a stepping stone to further achievements. She somehow had time to help all those she could, raise two remarkable daughters, devour books, get a second degree black belt, and create a beautiful home as a work of art. She could negotiate prices down even at department stores. Alice was beautiful in a class by herself and became younger as the years went by. She is the daughter of Dr. Man Young Rhee and Ik N. Rhee. She is survived by her two accomplished daughters, Merritt A. Moore (age 25) and Schuyler C. Moore (age 21) and by her husband of 29 years (and 34 together), Schuyler M. Moore.
