Alice Marie Menick

Alice Marie Menick, 93, of Glendale, California, loving wife of 60 years to the late Alfred George Menick, and surrounded at home by her loving family, entered into eternal rest on December 17, 2021. Born on October 14, 1928 in Riverside, CA. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Alice Farnsworth.

Alice earned an Associate Degree in Home Economics and loved sketching dress designs at LA City College. She and Al were married in 1950 and began a wonderful adventure together. We were all blessed by mom's love and devotion to our dad and to us. Her unconditional love held us together and helped us to become the people we are today. Mom and Dad loved to travel, especially enjoyed cruising, and always had time to squeeze in a visit to a casino.

She was an active member of PEO and the Assistance League of Glendale. She enjoyed working with School Bell - shopping for clothes and fitting elementary school students in need, and many other charitable endeavors.

Her gift of hospitality was well-known and enjoyed by many friends and family members. Gifted at baking, she made many wedding cakes and even successfully transported them!

Alice is survived by her son, Donald Ross Menick (Deborah), and daughters, Suanne Marie Menick and Julie Ann Menick Hiramine (Kay), eight granddaughters - Joy Elizabeth (Menick) Davidson (Joel), Crystal Marie (Menick) Spagna (Andre), Allison Michelle (Menick) Durst (Will), Brianna Hiramine Latimer (Richard), Stacia Hiroko Hiramine (Arturas), Alissa Aiko Hiramine, Hana Eliza Hiramine, Mikayla Mitsuyo Hiramine, and fifteen great-grandchildren - Josiah Benjamin Davidson, Noelle Joy Davidson, Isaac John Paul Davidson, Elias Damien Davidson, Charity Rose Davidson, Patrick Joel Davidson, James Phillip Riley Davidson, Michael Antony Cato Davidson, Alexander Luca Spagna, Leonidas Orion Spagna, Niccolo Sage Spagna, Natalie Danielle Durst, William Pressley Durst V, Gabriel Francis Durst, and Peter Augustine Durst. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn, Glendale, California.
