La Cañada, CA

Alice Law, 68, of La Canada, CA, passed away December 10, 2025 after a long courageous 6 year battle against breast cancer.

Alice was born on November 30, 1957 to Po Wai Ching and Law Kwok Wing  in Hong Kong. Alice met her husband, Stanley Yue, at the age of 15 in high school at Pui Ching, which began their one and only loving relationship and journey together. After Alice graduated from Pui Ching in 1976, she immigrated to Los Angeles from Hong Kong in 1977 to join her future husband Stanley where she experienced a short stint at Barstow College, and the following year went on to study Electrical Engineering at UCLA. After graduating from UCLA with a BS and MS degree in Electrical Engineering, she started working at Xerox as an Electronic Design Engineer. She had a 40 year illustrious career, overcoming a male dominent field, working at Hughes, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Raytheon. She also started her own business, AdvanChip, where she worked creating FPGA chips and database systems.

On October 14, 1977, Stanley and Alice secretly eloped in Vegas with only the knowledge of her younger brother, Benard, after dating for 4 years. Eventually, they officially openly celebrated their marriage with an grand ceremony on December 24, 1983. They went on to have their only daughter, Amanda in 1986. They were together for 53 years of her life.

In Alice's free time, her favorite thing was her morning walks in their neighborhood. Any chance she could take, her favorite vacation was a ski vacation. But most importantly, she was always eager to learn and gain more knowledge on the newest technological trend. Alice always made sure to spend time her exercises, whether it was learning how to run at the age of 45 or yoga at the YMCA. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Alice was determined to fulfill her lifelong dream of preforming Chinese Opera, where she preformed four times passionately on stage. And of course doing all of these things, always with her husband by her side every step of the way.

Alice was predeceased by her mother, father, and a nephew. She is survived by her husband, two younger brothers, her daughter, five nieces, and two nephews.
