Alice Harper

December 10, 1927 — July 9, 2023

On July 9, 2023, Alice Harper of Palmdale, CA passed away peacefully at her home.

Born December 10, 1927, to parents James Craig and Pearl Robinson, in Kadoka, South Dakota, she settled in Glendale, CA, with her family when she was seven years old.

Growing up with three brothers and two sisters, she learned how to love and make peace with everyone, listening to everything going on around her before she said anything.

She married Robert Harper and had five children, Robert, Carol, Deana, Joe, and Judy. Being very talented, Alice crocheted, embroidered and painted. When she started working, she excelled and became the lead lady in the plastic part manufacturing area.

At church she began working with World Bible School and corresponded with several people in Africa who wanted to learn about the Bible, eventually she had over a hundred students. She attended all the church functions and even opened her home to the youth for their Christmas house-to-house dinner.

Alice was also an adventurer. If asked, “would you like to go”, she would say “yes” before she heard where to. She also enjoyed going on cruises and coach tours with her friends, spent lot of time playing ‘Mexican Train’, a version of dominoes. Alice traveled extensively with her friends, including doing all the driving to and from Portland, Oregon, just to see if she could. She took coach trips in Costa Rica, and various locations in the United States.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Deana. She leaves behind her loving children, Robert, Carol, Joe and Judy; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
