Alfredo A Llanillo

March 20, 1932 — February 28, 2022

Alfredo A Llanillo, (Fred) was born on March 20, 1932, in Bugallon Pangasinan, Philippines, to Lino Llanillo and Generosa Llanillo (nee Aquino). He was the second eldest of five children, two of whom preceded him in death (his older sister, Flordeliza Molano, and younger brother, Teofilo Llanillo). Alfredo passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 89 on February 28, 2022, in South Pasadena, CA , where he resided. He is survived by his two daughters, Alma Llanillo and Rowela Llanillo Matos, his son in law, Irving Matos, and grandchildren Michelle and Nathan Matos, and his two sisters Iluminada Hernandez and Estrellita Bucaneg who reside in the Philippines.
Alfredo was married to the late Magdalena Llanillo (nee Bucaneg), on May 20, 1959, and they had three children, the eldest of whom died in infancy, and two daughters Alma and Rowela. Alfredo and his wife immigrated to the United States in 1968. They lived in Florida for one year before moving to California in 1969. In 1970 their two daughters followed them to the United States. Alfredo was an active member of Our Lady of Loretto Catholic Church, and St. Columban Catholic Church in Los Angeles, serving in the choir. He and his family sang in the church choir for many years and held practice at their residence in the past. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus, and he and his wife were also former members of the Holy Rosary Family group and would sometimes hold prayers in their residence. He was devoted to his faith and family. He loved singing and listening to music, dancing, and traveling. He and his wife, Magdalena, would double date and go dancing and go on trips with their good friends, among them late Resty (Aristotle) and Mila (Milagros) Tuason. During his later years he loved to travel with his family and go on excursions with his daughters. Alfredo was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His memory will be held in the hearts of his family and he will be dearly missed.
