Alfred Ingram

September 8, 1950 — February 27, 2021

Born to Aubrey Ingram Senior and Lula Owens, Alfred Ingram began his journey in Saint Louis, Missouri on September 8th, 1950. Growing up in rough streets, Alfred quickly grew some hard skills following behind his older brothers John and June Ingram. In the early 1960's Alfred along with his family moved to Indio, California. After graduating from Indio High School, Alfred became a new father to his first child Latanya
Bowman. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Army in 1970, where he would get his first taste of traveling. After 4 years of service in the Army, he made the decision to enlist in the Marine Corps where he served until 1975. He then became a civilian and a dedicated employee for over 30 years to Comcast Cable. He excelled and ultimately became a supervisor until he retired in 2015. In 1976, Al married Wanda Elijah and with their union was blessed with two sons, Jacques in 1977 and Aubrey in 1980. As a result of the world travel experience Al received while in the military,  he continued to travel and immerse himself in different cultures around
the world becoming the "Renaissance Man" of his time. Over the course of the past few decades, he made his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, Torrance, and  eventually settling in Rancho Cucamonga where he resided until his passing. Over the years, his strict rules and obsession with perfection earned him the nickname "The Drill-Sergeant." After retiring in 2015, he grew restless, in fear of growing complacent and always came up with various ways to occupy his time. After devoting his life to his faith,
various charities, self-improvement, and watching over his family,
Alfred Ingram passed on February 27th, 2021.

Many of Alfred's hobbies included motorcycling, family camping trips,
fishing trips, road trips, and working out. In addition, his love of culture was cultivated through his attendance of Jazz festivals, spiritual retreats with his church, and international travel. His favorite destinations were Hawaii and Brazil, where he eventually wanted to move. Al was also a photographer at heart, as it was rare to see him without his camera. He made it a goal to capture the moments of happiness in life and share them with others. His dedication to his family and looking out for their
well-being made him a genuine and sincere family man.

Alfred is survived by his mother, Lula Owens of Indio, Ca.; a daughter:
Latanya Bowman (Carl) of Indio, Ca., two sons: Jacques Ingram & Aubrey Ingram; 3 sisters: Lenora Owens Santa Rosa, Ca., Diane Owens of Indio, Ca, and Roberta Owens of Dallas, Tx.; 5 brothers: Luster Ingram (Roxanne), Carlton Ingram, Cornelius Ingram, Fredrick Ingram (Ervin) and Cornell Ingram all of St. Louis, Mo., 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
